How Does the Field Guard Work – and Why Is It So Effective?
The Field Guard operates by triggering animals’ instinctive responses to perceived danger. The device emits a combination of scent, sound, and light stimuli that create a so-called “landscape of fear” – a sensory environment animals interpret as a threat to their survival. As a result, they avoid the protected area.
The scent released by the device is carried over long distances by the wind. While it is barely noticeable to humans, it is highly detectable to animals. Upon sensing an unfamiliar odour, an animal becomes alert, pausing to listen and observe its surroundings. At that moment, additional deterrents are activated – realistic predator calls, distress sounds, and intense strobe lighting.
This multi-sensory combination triggers a natural flight response. A specially designed operating algorithm introduces an element of randomness and allows remote updates to the sound library, effectively preventing animals from becoming habituated to the emitted stimuli.

An integrated GSM module connects the Field Guard to the Internet. A dedicated Android mobile app gives users full access to device parameters from anywhere in the world. Theft Protection
The anti-theft system, based on GPS tracking and GSM connectivity, alerts the user to any attempt to move the device and provides its real-time location. Depending on the selected security level, the device can trigger an alarm or be remotely disabled, rendering it useless to potential thieves.
A camera with a built-in motion sensor automatically activates upon detecting human presence near the device, capturing the intruder’s image and sending it to a designated email address. This greatly aids in identifying anyone responsible for theft or damage to the Field Guard. The camera's rotating head tracks movement, while an audible warning— “Attention! This device is under surveillance”—effectively deters individuals from attempting to tamper with or steal the equipment.
Crop Monitoring
The built-in camera enables continuous surveillance of your crops. Through the dedicated mobile app, users can access real-time video, rotate the camera head a full 360 degrees, and listen to ambient sounds around the device. The camera automatically detects movement, records footage to internal memory, and sends alerts to a designated email address. Users can also manually capture images or videos at any time, allowing for visual documentation of plant growth and comparison with planned benchmarks.
An optional weather station module enhances the Field Guard’s functionality by measuring air and soil temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction, as well as rainfall.
